GHOP School of Prayer 2025

DEVELOPING A LIFESTYLE OF PRAYER

Author: Joey Geisel, Pastor of Prayer & Creative Arts

Twenty seven weekends a year, the Grace House of Prayer offers classes to train and equip our community to live a lifestyle of prayer that is powerful, intimate, and enjoyable. The deepest dive we take is School of Prayer, and this year we took 27 students through eight weeks of study using Grudem’s Systematic Theology, lectures from Joey & Emma, and lab application. Here are some memories and takeaways from folks who came:

“Beyond the great fellowship and getting to know our brothers and sisters at GCC more deeply, I really enjoyed how prayer was clarified and contextualized through the scriptures. I also loved practicing prayer, gratitude, and the ACTRS model with the Body of Christ! …I would recommend [School of Prayer] to both seasoned, studious believers and those that are new to their faith in Jesus Christ.” —Matthew Rowe
“I enjoyed the times of personal prayer, being prayed over, and going out to pray for others in town.” —Cheyenne Randria
“One memory that truly blessed me is using scripture during my prayers to the Lord. When we did that as a group, it filled my heart with the same joy that I felt when I first believed in Jesus and accepted him into my heart. My time at the House of Prayer also blessed me with the realization that nothing is too small when it comes to prayer, and our Father wants to bring all things to him. I am very grateful because this has grown my dependence on the Lord.” —Aliya Rowe
