The Book of Titus
The Apostle Paul planted a church on the Greek island of Crete. Crete had a reputation for being a morally unstable and spiritually confused place. After Paul planted the church, he left a young man named Titus behind to provide some leadership to that new church. And later he wrote a letter to Titus about how things should be set in order in that new church.
Titus 1:5 …I left you in Crete, that you would set in order what remains…
We know this letter today as the book of Titus in our Bibles. It not only gave instruction to Titus on how to set things in order in a church that has been planted in a broken culture, but it also gives that same instruction to us today.
