A Cry From the Cross
As Jesus made His triumphal entry, two distinct scenes unfolded. While His disciples hailed Him as King, the religious leaders in the Temple were reciting Psalm 24, which asks: "Who is this King of glory?"
Both the crowds in the streets and the priests in the Temple were asking the same question at the same moment. The people answered, "Jesus," while the Psalm answered, "The Lord Almighty."
Ironically, the first person during Holy Week to bridge these two answers—recognizing that Jesus is the Lord Almighty—wasn't a priest or a disciple. It was a Roman Centurion at the foot of the cross.
