We understand that the Gospel not only saves us, but impacts and changes every aspect of our lives.
With that in mind, we look for fun, creative, life-giving ways to speak the Gospel into their lives so that they in turn can go and change their world through obedience to Jesus Christ.
Our community is made up of teenagers in public and private schools and homeschool students grades 7–12. It is our desire that each student involved in the GYM would make the decision to follow Jesus with their whole lives, understanding that the Christian faith isn’t just about Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights, but encompasses the whole of who we are.
In order to help “come alongside parents as they disciple their children” we are offering a workshop the first Wednesday of each month, starting March 6th at 7 pm. These workshops will address issues that parents expressed interest in via our survey; topics like technology, dating and peer relationships, family types and depression. These workshops will be lead by elders, staff, parents and leaders and will include teaching, Q & A, discussion and resources. These workshops are for parents of all ages. We look forward to this rich time of learning together.
Student Leadership Team (SLT)
“Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity.” 2 Timothy 4:12
The idea of the SLT is to equip GYM students to help lead, serve, and plan our events and activities. We want to give students a place to connect and serve in the Kingdom of God. All members must attend our monthly meetings the first Wednesday of every month from 5:30-6:45.
Welcome Crew is in charge of greeting people on Wednesday nights, finding the lost and lonely and making them feel welcome and loved, and getting to know every new person that walks in the door.
9th - 12th graders
Must attend weekly meetings before youth if you are scheduled that week (about twice a month).
Sunday Greeters will pass out important information, such as Newsletters and postcards for upcoming retreats/events, on Sundays before and after services 1-2 times a month.
