Special Needs Community Family Photo Day

By: Lyndy Rizy, Navigating With Hope Coordinator

Our Special Needs Community enjoyed a casual, low-stress Family Picture Day in August. We had two backdrops set up in the gymnasium, used the church’s lighting system, and two wonderful photographers. The photographers volunteered their time to help these families get some incredible pictures that can often be hard to come by.

A huge thank you to our photographers, Joey Geisel and Holly Roberts, and to our volunteers, Vonda Sherrod and Lisa and Elizabeth Valastro. who helped in assisting the photographers and by being door greeters.

“Thank you again for “including” us in your church’s photo shoot today! Also, I don’t know if you saw while we were there we bumped into a male teacher that knew my son (from school). He was so sweet with him and my son gave him the biggest bear hug. It was a touching moment today.”
