Launching
SENDING OUT OVERSEAS WORKER FAMILIES
Author: Anna Miller
In the past three months we have launched three families to long-term overseas work! Sending and supporting overseas workers is a big way that God has called Grace to be involved with the Great Commission.
The Lays
Joanna and Elijah Lay moved to Japan in early September to begin their two-year internship with Japan Venture, an organization with the desire to see a movement of disciple making among the Japanese people. They will serve in the local church and teach English at a nearby school in Kawasaki, with plans to eventually move to Hita.
The Bedwells
James and Shelby Bedwell transitioned full-time to Kenya in July after serving through short-term trips over the years with an organization they helped start called Haven of Hope. They are serving the poor and sharing God’s love to the forgotten.
The Wilsons
Joe and Leah Wilson moved to Kenya in July to support Bob and Julie Mendonsa at Naomi’s Village. Joe will use his corporate experience in data analytics, process improvement, and leadership to help with the children’s home, Cornerstone Preparatory Academy, and other community initiatives.
