When Jack was nine years old, he heard that God so loved the world that He gave His only Son
to save us from our sins. And who does not sin? Young Jackie Wayne became a follower of
Jesus Christ. No turning back.
In 1964, Jack met Betty Ann in his own backyard. In 1967, they said “I do” to one another and
started a wonderful family with a house full of very delightful children. One by one, they
welcomed those children...Angela, Doug, Rachel, Susie, Josh, and Anita.
Jack was a builder. In 1977, the Lord tapped Jack on the shoulder and said, “Come with Me to
Australia. Bring your hammer and some nails. Bring the family. I have a job for you.” So, from
Arlington, Texas, to Australia’s Outback, to the Highlands of Papua New Guinea–around the
world and back–it can now be said, “This is the house that Jack built.”
