Freedom Ministry

Jesus came to set the captives free.

In Isaiah 61, it is written about Jesus: “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, Because the Lord has anointed me To bring good news to the afflicted; He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to captives And freedom to prisoners.”

In Freedom Ministry, our goal is the same as Jesus’ during his ministry: To set the captives free from the oppression of the evil one.

The enemy gains access to our lives in two ways: Intrusion and Open Doors (or legal ground).  Intrusion is when the devil attacks us when we’ve done nothing to invite it.  Open doors occur when we have given the enemy legal ground or access to our lives through our action or inaction.  These open doors become strongholds that prevent us from seeing what common sense tells us is wrong. Common open doors we work through in freedom ministry are:

  • Willful Sin and Disobedience

  • Unforgiveness

  • Inner Vows and Judgements

  • Curses

  • Wounds and Hurts

  • Rejection

Thankfully, Jesus has provided a remedy! And a way out!
