Traditional Easter egg hunts can be difficult for individuals with special needs and there are few places that accommodate these families. So, we are spreading hope and encouragement by hosting a Special Needs Easter egg hunt just for them. We need YOU! Many of us are in a season of caring for our adult parents, and we are looking for help and resources to meet their ever-changing needs. Learn about the resources in our community and how to navigate getting the appropriate help for your loved one. Discharge planner and recovery strategist Kathy Einhaus will be our guest. The Biblical Citizenship group will meet TODAY at 1:00 pm in the Loft on March 3rd to hear Paul Brown, Director of Policy at Abolish Abortion Texas, discuss what can be done to further limit abortions in Texas. Come join us as we learn how to be salt and light to influence our culture for Christ.

Natalie Dorsey will be leading a 6-week Bible study for moms of individuals with special needs starting January 14th called “Peace in the Chaos.” We will be doing a hybrid model so some meetings will be on Zoom and some will be in-person with childcare available. Each summer, Grace Community Church members participate in a variety of overseas trips as part of great commission work. If you are interested in joining one of these teams, we will have an information meeting immediately after second service, January 14th, in the Life Center.

Jumpstart 2024 with a strong devotional life, devoting 20 minutes a day to prayer for 20 days, using Bob Sorge’s book Prayer Reset. Joey will lead group devotional teaching for three Sundays, and it’s up to you to spend time with Jesus reading the book at home. Cost is $15 for 3 meals + $5 book; childcare reimbursement may be available.

Are you a parent or caregiver of an individual with special needs? If you are, we have a support group for you. Come to our Christmas party on Saturday, December 9th, from 11:00–1:00 pm. We will have lunch together and decorate sugar cookies. Register by December 1st; childcare is available.

If you and your family want to serve others in our community by delivering Thanksgiving meals, Mission Arlington has a place for you! Be at Mission Arlington (210 W. South St.) by 8:00 am Thanksgiving morning to deliver food to families in need. You can also help prepare Thanksgiving boxes anytime Monday through Friday at Mission Arlington between now and Thanksgiving.
