Dedication
of Children
Child dedication is a time that allows parents or guardians the opportunity to devote their child to the Lord with the support of the church family. A child does not become a Christian through this process, for all are saved by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8). A child will become a Christian when they personally place their faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
As parents or guardians, you will first be dedicating yourselves before the Lord as those who will do their best to raise their child in the discipleship and instruction of the Lord (Deuteronomy 6:7).
Additionally, we believe that every child belongs to the Lord and has been entrusted to you for his or her care and development. Parents and guardians will also be asked to acknowledge that their child is a gift from the Lord (Psalm 127:3) and to commit to consistently pray for and with their child.
This will be a blessed time that God will use as a testimony for the church and for your family in the days to come. We look forward to being able to walk alongside you (Galatians 6:2) and to sharing this opportunity with you!
