Citizenship Classes

A class to prepare those who are interested in the American Citizenship exam. The class prepares individuals in the areas of US History, civics, answering questions orally and test taking tips. Intermediate English reading and writing skills required.

Registration nights are held at the start of Fall and Spring Sessions at the same time as our English as a Second Language (ESL) registration. During registration students who are interested in Citizenship classes will be tested to see whether English reading and writing skills meet the requirements of Citizenship class. The classes are free. Anyone wishing to be a student must register in person and be tested before joining a class.

Our next open registration for Fall 2018 will be Monday September 10th at 7:00pm or Wednesday September 12th at 7:00pm. Look for ESL signs.

Please note that we are not able to provide childcare and children are not allowed in the classroom.

There is no cost to attend classes, but students are required to purchase a textbook for $20 each.

Classes meet Mondays and Wednesdays from 7:00pm to 8:30pm at 801 West Bardin Rd, Arlington, TX  76017. A complete citizenship course lasts for one semester so you would only attend either Fall or Spring, not both.

  • Fall Classes: Middle of September through the beginning of December
  • Spring Classes: End of January through the middle of May
  • No classes during June, July and August
