Cornerstone Reverse Trick or Treating

Many events and mindsets around October 31st can be dark and centered on self-seeking rewards. However, we are called to be a light in this community! The Cornerstone College Ministry used a usually dark weekend to help share the light of Christ throughout UTA’s campus. Many people dress up in costumes on October 31st and go door to door expecting something for themselves (mainly candy.) Over 50 members of the Cornerstone instead went to UTA dorms and apartments offering students candy as a simple way to show God’s love on October 30th! We like to call this “Reverse Trick of Treating.” Throughout the evening, we gave away over 1,500 pieces of candy to numerous UTA dorms and apartments inviting them to the Cornerstone and offering prayer. Afterwards, there was a fall themed party at the Cornerstone.

We look forward to seeing what the Lord continues to do at UTA. If you are college aged interested in being apart of this ministry, come to our weekly large group meeting on Thursday evenings!
