Returnees - Elementary Children
When elementary age children travel from where they have been living outside of the U.S.A. to their passport country (the U.S.A.), they often experience some re-entry stress or reverse culture shock. They may find their classmates do not understand them nor do they understand their classmates at school.
Parents and friends can help them adjust in a number of ways. The resources listed in this section aim at helping them make this transition.
