Brian

Associate Pastor of Cross-Cultural Outreach

Brian’s main role is to train people to make disciples who make disciples.  He loves seeing people get off the sidelines and into the game. He leads a program called Multiply that gives people hands-on training and empowering to help them lead others to Jesus, and see those people take their first steps in following Jesus.  Brian also oversees Launch, a two-semester course that equips people to make disciples in a cross-cultural setting among unreached people groups. His desire is to see an awakening in the Church that leads to the gospel going forth to every people group on earth.

Brian was born and raised in the L.A. area.  He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from UCLA,  and a Master’s degree in Aeronautics & Astronautics from Stanford University.  (Yes, he was a rocket scientist.) He grew up heavily involved in church activities, and thought he was saved.  One morning, God revealed His truth, love and power to Brian in an overwhelming way, and he surrendered his life to Jesus.  Following this, Brian completed a Master’s of Divinity program at Fuller Seminary. He’s served in various pastoral roles in California, Illinois, and New York.  Immediately prior to coming on staff at Grace, he taught high school Mathematics in Cedar Hill, TX, and volunteered in various roles at the church.

Brian & Amy have been married over 20 years, and have four children.  He enjoys fishing, reading, telling “Dad jokes,” and eating medium-rare ribeye steaks.
