Youth Ministry (GYM)
The Grace Youth Ministry (GYM) is a great place to journey through life with other teens. We understand that students are not only the church of the future, they are the church of now. And with that in mind, we look for fun, creative, life-giving ways to speak God's truth into their lives so that they in turn can go and change their world one person at a time.
Our Community is made up of teenagers in the public, private and home school students ages 12-18. It is our desire that each student involved in the GYM take the scripture from Ecclesiastes 12:1 literally in which they are challenged to "remember their Creator in the days of their youth."
The Call
It has been noted and proven that 85% of those people w
ho come to know Jesus personally, do so before their 18th birthday. It has also been noted that only 4% of this generation (people born between the years 1977-1996) will ever come to know Christ. If our future leaders are now teenagers, and both of these statistics are true, then there is much ministry to do with today’s teen. This is the reason for the commitment Grace Community Church has made to today‘s youth.
The Purpose
We exist to reach unbelieving students with the gospel of Jesus Christ, to help them grow in their faith, and to connect them with other Christian students, challenging them to serve others and honor God with their lives.
The Mission
Our leadership team is made up of qualified adult and student leaders who take the challenge of making disciples seriously. Our mission statement is more than just words, it’s a way of ministry. Through God’s grace we truly are changing the world, one teenager at a time.
