FAQ's
(Frequently Asked Questions about Grace Community)

What should I expect when I come to Grace for the first time?
When you first arrive, you are encouraged to park in our special guest parking.  Someone will be available if you need assistance with your children.  One of our greeters will meet you in the foyer of the main building and thank you for visiting with us.  To help you better understand Grace, we will give you a "Welcome Packet" filled with loads of information about who we are and what we value.  We will also ask you to allow us to have your personal information (name, address, children's names, etc.) so our pastor can send you a small gift in the mail. After you receive your welcome book, we will make sure that you and your family have a great place to sit in our main corporate worship gathering.  If you need nursery or childcare, we will be more than happy to assist you in finding your child's classroom.  Children kindergarten and older start in the main sanctuary and then are released to their classes mid-way through the service.

What is the service like at Grace?
Our services last approximately 100 minutes.  During that time we will invite you to worship Christ with us through our singing, participate in communion (done weekly at Grace), meet others, hear the Word of God and a time to pray for one another.  You will find that these minutes fly by as God will be in the middle of everything we will be doing.

How should I dress when I come to Grace?
Most of the people who gather at Grace like to dress casually, but a few will wear suits and ties.  If you feel comfortable in jeans, wear jeans.  If you love to wear your three-piece suit to church, that will be great as well.  Bottom line-we never want someone to miss out on experiencing God because of what they do or don't have to wear!

What is the music style at Grace like?
During the Sunday services (starting at 9:00 am and 11:00 am), our music is led by a worship band that includes drums, guitars, keyboard, percussion, strings and other instruments.  The music is both upbeat and contemplative.  Our services include songs that are written by people here at Grace as well as modern-day songs of praise and ancient hymns.

What is the preaching style like?
Pastor Gary does a great job of taking the Scriptures and applying them to everyday life.  Our messages are taken from the Bible and come to life with illustrations, dramas, videos and other communications tools.  You will leave knowing that the message can be life-transforming if you choose to apply God's Word to your situation.

What denomination is Grace affiliated with?
Grace is an "Inter-Denominational" church, meaning that we welcome the many different denominations and cultures to come together to worship Christ as a community.  We are an independent church which is governed by Christ and our elders.  We are never critical of denominations and desire to bring all of God's people together in unity under Christ whenever and wherever we can.

How does the leadership of Grace operate?
Grace is led by a group of elders who come together to pray, discuss and hear from God on the direction of the church.  The pastoral team comes alongside the elders to help implement what God has directed us to do to exalt Christ and love others.

What is available for my children and/or teenagers?
We have some great opportunities for your children and teenagers.  If you are looking for a safe, comfortable, exciting and life-transforming place for your kids, then we believe we can help you!  Feel free to look at the Children's Ministry and Youth Ministry sections of this website for more information.

How can I become a member of Grace?
The best thing to do is experience a worship service in person first.  If you like what God is doing here, then we encourage you to come to a Newcomer's Coffee (held twice a month).  At the coffee there will be pastors available to meet you and help you get better connected to our growing church family.   Contact the church office for details regarding when the next coffee will occur.  We would love to have you with us!
